Lecture & Hands-on practical sessions with Scipion

Scipion is an image processing framework to obtain 3D models of macromolecular complexes using Electron microscopy. It integrates several software packages and presents a unified interface for both biologists and developers. Scipion allows to execute workflows combining different software tools, while taking care of formats and conversions.
The workshop will consist of formal lectures on image processing and 3D reconstructions. Such lectures will be complemented by hands-on computer tutorials that will illustrate execution of workflows combining different software such as Xmipp, Eman, Relion, Sparx.
